CGS § 9-139b. (Formerly Sec. 9-157). Secretary authorized to change forms.

The Secretary of the State may make any changes in any forms prescribed by this chapter which, in the opinion of the Secretary, are necessary to conform to the applicable provisions of federal law.

History: P.A. 86-179 replaced reference to Federal War Ballot Act with reference to applicable provisions of federal law; Sec. 9-157 transferred to Sec. 9-139b in 1987; July Sp. Sess. P.A. 20-3 designated existing provisions as Subsec. (a), added Subsec. (b) re state election in 2020 and made a technical change, effective July 31, 2020; June Sp. Sess. P.A. 21-2 amended Subsec. (b) to add provision re certain elections, primaries and referenda held prior to November 3, 2021, effective June 23, 2021; P.A. 23-22 deleted Subsec. (a) designator and deleted former Subsec.
