CGS § 22-321. Penalty.

(a) Any person, or any officer or agent of any corporation, who violates any provision of this chapter for which no other penalty is provided, who obstructs or attempts to obstruct the commissioner, an authorized agent of the commissioner or an employee of the department in the performance of a duty established in this chapter, or who violates any regulation established by said commissioner, shall be fined two hundred fifty dollars for a first such violation or obstruction and for any such second violation or obstruction shall be guilty of a class D misdemeanor.

(b) Any person who misleads or attempts to mislead the commissioner by removing or altering the official identification of any livestock or by falsifying a certificate of veterinary inspection shall be fined two hundred fifty dollars for a first such violation and shall be guilty of a class D misdemeanor for any second or subsequent such violation.
